Job Title: Account Executive – Construction & Utilities, Drone Services

Location: London, Hybrid - 3 days a week

  • Skyports Drone Services uses drones to streamline logistics, capture data, and enhance operational efficiency, with a focus on rural deliveries, surveying, surveillance, and maritime services.
  • Skyports Infrastructure plays a vital role in the Urban Air Mobility ecosystem, designing, building, owning, and operating vertiports that enable eVTOL operators to take off and land in cities around the world.

Skyports Drone Services is transforming operations in remote and high-risk environments using advanced BVLOS drones. We deliver cargo, conduct surveillance, and inspect hard-to-reach infrastructure for critical industries; enabling faster, safer, and more cost-effective operations.

We’re scaling our presence in the construction and utilities sector and are hiring an Account Executive (AE) to drive growth with major infrastructure and utility customers.

The Role

The AE will be responsible for owning deals end-to-end; from customer meetings and POCs to commercial proposals and contract negotiations. You’ll work closely with the SDR and Head of Commercial to convert pipeline into recurring services revenue, while building Skyports’ reputation with leading contractors and network operators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with senior stakeholders (Project Directors, Asset Managers, Innovation Leads, Survey Heads)
  • Lead customer meetings, demos, and POCs across utilities and construction projects
  • Develop tailored proposals, pricing models, and commercial strategies
  • Respond to tenders and RFPs with support from Commercial Operations Manager
  • Represent Skyports at major events, presenting and networking as required
  • Own accounts across utilities and infrastructure operators (UKPN, SSE, Dragados, Irish Rail, etc.)

What Success Looks Like (6–12 Months)

  • 3–5 demos delivered to top-tier customers
  • 2–3 POCs launched with leading utilities or contractors
  • First long-term inspection/monitoring services contract secured
  • Industry playbook built for utilities and construction vertical

About You

Must-Have

  • 3+ years’ experience in account management, business development, or technical sales
  • Proven track record selling into construction or utilities; or direct experience in the sector
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable managing multiple accounts and prioritising high-value opportunities

Bonus

  • Familiarity with drone services, aerial inspection, or aviation
  • Understanding of how utilities and contractors procure inspection/monitoring services
