Account Director – Marketing, Media & Events (London, Hybrid)

Are you an Account Director looking for an exciting new opportunity? DNA Recruit are partnering with a leading organisation in the marketing, media, and disruptive tech events space. This dynamic business is known for shaking up the industry and creating high‑impact live experiences and content‑led campaigns that connect brands with influential marketing audiences.

Role Overview

As an Account Director, you’ll drive new business, nurture high‑value client relationships, and lead strategic partnerships across large‑scale events and innovative content / lead‑generation products. You’ll shape commercial growth, contribute to new product development, and ensure flawless delivery alongside cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of key client accounts across major UK events and content / lead‑generation programmes.
  • Leverage existing relationships while proactively identifying and onboarding new partners.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, developing trusted, long‑term relationships.
  • Drive renewals, upsells, and new revenue opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Create bespoke partnership strategies across live experiences, editorial content, and digital activation.
  • Collaborate closely with content, marketing, operations and project management teams to ensure exceptional delivery.
  • Support senior leadership in developing new commercial products, pricing models and go‑to‑market strategies.
  • Attend UK and international events to monitor trends and identify fresh opportunities.
  • Present campaign performance reports, insights and recommendations to clients.
  • Maintain a strong grasp of marketing, media and emerging tech landscapes to guide client engagement.
  • Represent the brand onsite during events, ensuring a smooth and premium experience for all partners.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Minimum five years’ experience in account management or commercial roles within media, events, or marketing services.
  • Strong network of senior marketers and agency decision‑makers, ideally with a robust “black book” of contacts.
  • Proven track record of growing key accounts and delivering impactful partnerships or campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of sponsorships, content marketing and lead‑generation models.
  • Highly consultative, strategic mindset with strong commercial instincts.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Able to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
  • Creative thinker with strong attention to detail.
Salary & Details
  • Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum + bonus.
  • Location: London (Hybrid – one office day per week).
  • Benefits: 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, enhanced parental leave, pension scheme, annual performance review and company laptop.
