A prestigious academic institution seeks a friendly assistant for its academic support team in Cambridge. You will help keep the faculty running smoothly by coordinating projects and providing support to academic staff. Ideal candidates enjoy variety, thrive in a dynamic environment, and possess strong communication skills. Office experience is a plus, but training will be provided. This role offers a competitive salary, generous leave, and flexible working arrangements.
The Faculty of Economics at the University of Cambridge has been at the heart of economic thinking in Europe for generations, and we’re looking for a special person to join our close-knit team of around 100 staff members. We’re not just colleagues here - we’re a community of passionate people who genuinely care about what we do and support each other every step of the way.
We care about your wellbeing: Our Cambridge Works programme isn’t just corporate speak – we genuinely want you to thrive both at work and at home. We’ve embraced flexible hybrid working, and we balance in‑person collaboration in the Faculty with productive remote working time.
You’ll be the friendly face behind our academic support team! Working alongside two other fantastic assistants, you’ll help keep our faculty running smoothly and support our brilliant academic staff. Think of yourself as the person who makes everything work seamlessly behind the scenes – from coordinating projects to solving the daily puzzles that keep an academic department going.
No two days will be exactly the same, and that’s what makes it exciting! You’ll work flexibly across different areas, jumping in wherever your skills are needed most.
