A leading financial services firm in Wootton Bridge is seeking a candidate for an asset-based lending apprenticeship. This role involves preparing minutes and credit papers, following compliance procedures, and liaising with teams. Candidates should have A Levels or equivalent and demonstrate strong communication and attention to detail. The apprenticeship offers training aligned with a Level 6 qualification, setting a foundation for future opportunities.
About ABL, and with experience and training, prepare detailed and accurate minutes reflecting the outcome. Support the Underwriting team in preparing high quality credit papers for proposed transactions for submission to ICC.
Follow AML / CDD procedures, preparing Risk Assessments, Search Lists and Onboarding Checklists together with required level of due diligence to enable the successful onboarding of new clients.
Prepare fresh searches and due diligence for all new client directors. Ensure policies & procedures are followed and maintain good records. Liaise with Arbuthnot Latham Credit and Compliance teams as required.
Visit prospects as required. Prepare visit reports as necessary. Recognise and report compliance breaches, errors, and potential frauds. Always present a positive image of ACABL.
Study for the Level 6 Financial Services Commercial Chartered Banker Institute 18-month programme.
Knowledge / Experience: Ability to manage your time and workload effectively and prioritise your work to meet deadlines. Solid written and verbal communications skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work collaboratively, develop good working relationships and build your internal and external network. Strong interest in ABL, Banking and financial services. Ability to adapt to change and learn new technologies. Competence using Microsoft Office programs - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Qualifications: Educated to-Levels or equivalent. You must not already have a qualification in a similar subject at the same level, or higher level than this apprenticeship.

On successful completion of the programme, your training, experience and your Level 6 external qualification will set you with excellent career prospects.
