A city council is looking for a Healthy Homes Officer to engage with residents and improve housing conditions affecting health. You will assess risk factors, collaborate with health and social care partners, and lead initiatives to tackle fuel poverty. The ideal candidate will have experience with vulnerable communities, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage a diverse caseload. This permanent role is vital to ensuring the wellbeing of residents through effective housing support.

We are seeking a passionate and community-focused Healthy Homes Officer to support the delivery of the Council’s Health and Wellbeing Strategy. This role focuses on improving housing conditions, reducing health risks, tackling fuel poverty and supporting vulnerable residents to live safely and independently in their homes.
You will work closely with residents, health and social care partners, and community organisations to identify risks, deliver interventions and promote healthier housing outcomes across the city.
You will be empathetic, organised and confident working with vulnerable people, with a strong understanding of how housing conditions impact health and wellbeing.
