Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people in the south of Derbyshire? Due to some expansion within our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), an exciting opportunity has arisen for two dedicated and forward-thinking Psychologists to join our dynamic CAMHS teams. We are seeking enthusiastic professionals who are committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based psychological care, and who are eager to contribute positively to the mental health and wellbeing of young people within our community.
The ideal candidates will demonstrate strong assessment, formulation, and therapeutic skills, as well as the ability to manage complex cases. Excellent communication, interpersonal abilities, and a compassionate, person-centred approach are essential.
The posts are offered at a band 8a, but newly qualified or soon to qualify Psychologists are welcome to apply and would be eligible for a band 7 role, with the potential for progression from band 7 to 8a through a competency-based gateway.
As a CAMHS Psychologist, you will provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention for children, adolescents, and their families presenting with a wide range of complex emotional, behavioural, and psychological difficulties. You will work closely and collaboratively with children and young people, their families and carers, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic, person-centred care that is both effective and compassionate.

The posts will be line managed through our Psychology and Psychological Therapies Care Group, providing excellent opportunities for support and supervision, and links with local Psychology Training Courses, to which we provide regular placements and teaching.
