Job summary

A design and production firm is seeking a Structural Cardboard Engineer to design innovative Point of Sale (POS) solutions. The role involves collaboration with clients to meet specific retail requirements while ensuring cost-effectiveness. Candidates should have experience in design, strong knowledge of corrugate materials, and proficiency in design software such as Solidworks and Adobe Creative Suite. This position is based in City Of London and offers a dynamic working environment.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of all thicknesses and grades of corrugate.
• Ability to build special finishing techniques.
• Experience with European retailer’s design guidelines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop POS solutions to meet clients’ requirements.
• Create innovative solutions based on budget.
• Conduct quality control on manufactured units.

Skills

Designing in Temporary and Semi Perm point of purchase industry

Understanding of corrugate and its weight thresholds

Knowledgeable in print production methods

Solidworks for 3D renders

Adobe Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop

Excellent sketching ability

Education

Degree in a 3D design subject
