Job summary

A healthcare provider in Scotland is seeking a Clinical Technologist (Electronics) to work within the Oncology Physics Department at the Edinburgh Cancer Centre. The role involves routine maintenance and repair of radiotherapy equipment and ensuring compliance with quality assurance. Candidates with a minimum qualification of HNC/HND in Electronics and an understanding of electronic principles are encouraged to apply. Extensive training will be provided for those with limited experience in radiotherapy equipment.

Clinical Technologist (Electronics)

Key Responsibilities
  • Routine duties in the oncology physics section, including linear accelerator maintenance, QA and repair.
  • Support the routine operation and maintenance of radiotherapy equipment.
Qualifications
  • Minimum qualification of HNC/HND in Electronics.
  • Solid understanding of electronic principles and experience working with electronics in a servicing and maintenance role and/or production test environment.
  • Less experience and a relevant degree may be considered.
Training

Full training will be given for candidates with limited radiotherapy equipment experience. In-house training programme will also provide the healthcare based competencies needed.
