  • Less than 12 months of relevant experience (excluding placements).
  • Degree obtained no earlier than 2024 or expected to be achieved by that year.

About the role

As part of our application, you’ll choose your preferred sector and location. Sectors include Transmission & Distribution and Nuclear. You will play a key role in designing and delivering the infrastructure that powers the UK’s transition to Net Zero, ensuring clean energy reaches homes, businesses and international markets through interconnectors to Europe.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Front‑End Engineering Design (FEED) and Detailed Design phases.
  • Design civil works – platforms, earthworks, retaining walls, access roads and drainage systems (SuDS, infodrainage).
  • Perform structural design covering foundations, beams, columns and connections.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and optioneering exercises; support construction phases.
  • Support nuclear power projects and safe decommissioning efforts across the UK.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (or a related discipline).
  • Preferred master’s degree and/or relevant postgraduate study.
  • Less than 12 months of relevant experience (excluding placements).
  • Degree obtained no earlier than 2024 or expected to be achieved by that year.
  • Eligible for UK security clearance (must be a UK British national or have lived in the UK for five years or more).
