Annual Salary: £35,000

If you’re a results-driven individual with a passion for business, the Commercial Management Trainee Scheme at L’Oréal offers an exceptional opportunity to launch your career. From day one, you’ll take on real responsibilities, enabling you to make a meaningful impact while developing your skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Each year, we welcome up to 35 graduates from diverse academic backgrounds to join our programme across five business areas. Over 18 months, you’ll complete three 6-month rotations, gaining exposure to a variety of roles that will provide you with a strong foundation for your future career at L’Oréal.

What You’ll Do

As part of our National Accounts, Business Development, E-Commerce, or Field Sales Teams, you’ll work directly with major clients such as Boots, John Lewis, Tesco, Superdrug, or Selfridges. You’ll help strike successful business deals, provide mutually beneficial solutions, and use your analytical skills to make smart business decisions.

Your rotations will involve close collaboration with internal teams, including Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance, as well as external partners. As the face of L’Oréal to our retailers, strong communication skills will be key to your success.

Your Day-to-Day Could Include
  • Tracking and analysing sales figures, promotions, and new product launches.
  • Supporting your team/account in tailoring new launches and maximising their success.
  • Identifying new business opportunities.
  • Accurately forecasting promotions and launch quantities.
  • Managing your own projects, both long and short term, and presenting your findings.
  • Conducting regular in-store visits to track your brand’s performance and competitor activity.
  • Collaborating with retailers on ideas to support growth in the account/brand.
What We’re Looking For
  • A results-driven mentality with strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Confidence in presenting and communicating ideas.
  • A proactive, self-managed approach to projects.
  • Interest in the beauty industry and emerging trends.
  • A customer-centric attitude, balancing business needs with account priorities.
  • Final-year university students graduating in 2026 or recent graduates (within the last two years).
  • Available to start in either July 2026 or January 2027.

At L’Oréal, we celebrate diversity and inclusion, creating an environment where everyone is valued and empowered to thrive. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, as we believe our differences drive innovation and creativity.
