A leading telecom company in the UK is seeking a 1st Line NOC Engineer. In this role, you will provide top-notch customer service by resolving technical issues, troubleshooting LAN/WAN connectivity problems, and managing incident tickets. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of support experience and a solid understanding of networking technologies. This full-time position offers a salary between £28,000 and £35,000, alongside robust benefits including 33 days of holiday and a dog-friendly office.
Deliver top‑notch customer service by resolving technical issues and keeping customers in the loop.
Troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity problems, and collaborate with field engineers to fix hardware like routers, switches, and Wi‑Fi APs.
Manage incident and request tickets with precision, escalating to senior engineers when needed.
Assist with hardware and vendor management, ensuring swift resolution of faults.
At least 1 year’ support experience in a busy, customer‑focused service desk or NOC environment.
Solid understanding of LAN/WAN technologies, ideally with a networking qualification like CCNA (or working towards it).
Flexibility to work in our Solihull office on shift patterns between 7am and 7pm, mainly Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts on a rota basis.
Ability to obtain BPSS, SC, and NPPV3 clearance for this role.
