Overview

11252 - Zero Hour Prescription Delivery Driver position (permanent contract) at our 319 branch, 278 Newchurch Road, Stacksteads, Bacup, OL13 0UJ. The role covers Bacup and Haslingden branches when the driver is on holiday. Opening hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:30. The successful candidate will be flexible to work within these branch opening times, have strong people skills, and provide a professional service standard to customers and Pharmacy Teams.

Responsibilities

• Promptly and conscientiously deliver prescription items to private houses, nursing and residential homes while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
• Represent the Cohens brand in a friendly, professional manner and act as an ambassador for the company.
• Work under pressure to deliver prescriptions within the designated timeframes.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with the company’s regulated procedures, with emphasis on attention to detail.
• Utilise basic computer skills to plan and print daily routes from the branch before starting deliveries.
• Assist with PR activities to increase business when required.
• Use your own vehicle for this role; ensure your private motor insurance covers business use. Contact your insurer to confirm coverage prior to interview if needed. Note: the company will contribute to the business aspect of insurance upon receipt of documentation showing any increased premium.

Other Information

• Reimbursement for business mileage at 40p per mile up to 10,000 miles; 25p per mile thereafter in line with HMRC guidelines. Fuel receipts should be kept for each visit and mileage claims submitted weekly.
• Opening hours: Monday to Friday 09:00–17:30. Willingness to work within these times; flexibility to cover branches Bacup and Haslingden.
