Job summary

A tutoring service is seeking an experienced Year 9 Tutor for Maths and English to provide tailored support in the home of a student in Newhaven. The ideal candidate must have at least 2 years of tutoring or teaching experience, confidence in delivering KS3 Maths and English, and an enhanced DBS. This role starts immediately and is perfect for a patient tutor who can help engage students with low attendance. Pay is between £25-£35 per hour, requiring 2 hours weekly.

Student details

• Secondary school attendance currently under 50%
• Reading age: 6 years 2 months (last recorded 03/06/2024)
• Requires a patient, structured and supportive approach

Essential requirements

• Experience supporting students with low attendance and learning gaps preferred
• Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service or willing to apply)
• Available to start immediately
