1:1 Tutors – Cheshire West and Chester – £30/hr – Flexible Roles Available
Alternative Provision | SEND | SEMH | Trauma-Informed | Education That Makes a Difference

Are you passionate about inclusive education and ready to transform the learning experience for a young person in need?

TeacherActive is seeking dedicated and adaptable 1:1 Tutors to deliver alternative provision for students across Cheshire West and Chester. These young people are currently out of mainstream education due to a range of complex circumstances — including SEND, SEMH needs, trauma, exclusion, or being in care — and your support could be the turning point in their journey.

What You’ll Do
  • Deliver high-quality, personalised 1:1 tuition sessions in safe, agreed locations
  • Build rapport with students who may have disengaged from traditional education
  • Work collaboratively with parents/carers, education consultants, and local authorities
  • Support reintegration into school settings or transitions to specialist provision
  • Adapt your teaching style to suit a wide range of needs and backgrounds
What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum 6 months experience supporting young people with SEND, SEMH, or challenging behaviour
  • Empathetic, calm, and resilient mindset with a trauma-informed approach
  • Ability to plan and deliver creative, engaging learning activities
  • Flexibility to work around individual learner needs and schedules
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
