Qualifications

An excellent primary school in Reading is looking for an experienced SEN teaching assistant to join them ASAP. They have a child in KS2 with an EHCP – the child has Autism and will require someone who understands these needs. The school is looking for someone enthusiastic and with a true passion for working with children with SEN. Ideally a background working with Autism would be ideal for this position.

This is a long‑term, full‑time opportunity and will require an SEN teaching assistant who is fully committed to the role. Ideally the candidate will have previous experience in a similar position working with special needs in a school. This role requires patience – the school is happy to provide support and guidance but will need a teaching assistant passionate about SEN.

The school is looking for someone to be consistent for this child and offer ongoing support. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will work closely with the SENCO, providing a great opportunity for learning and career development.
