1:1 Teaching Assistant
  • Hourly Rate: £14.63 - £16.35
  • Location: Fylde area
  • Job Type: Temporary (January 5th start until summer)
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:30

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a Year 5 child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a positive impact in children's educational journeys, starting from January 5th until the summer.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide tailored 1:1 support to a Year 5 student with ASD, focusing on both academic and social development.
  • Implement strategies to support the child’s individual learning and emotional needs.
  • Work closely with the classroom teacher to integrate educational plans and ensure a cohesive approach.
  • Assist the child with classroom activities, ensuring they are engaged and making progress.
  • Monitor the child’s progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Create a supportive and understanding environment to help the child thrive.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in supporting children with special educational needs, particularly ASD.
  • Understanding of the challenges faced by children with ASD and how to effectively support them.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
