Graduate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Harrow, North London
Full-Time | ASAP Start | Monday–Friday

Are you a recent graduate (2:1 or above) looking to begin a rewarding career in education? Do you have experience working with young people through roles such as sports coaching, youth work, or mentoring? Do you have the patience, resilience, and empathy to support children with special educational needs on a 1:1 basis?

The Role
  • Provide 1:1 support for a student with SEN, ensuring academic, emotional, and social needs are met.
  • Adapt and implement learning activities to suit the student’s individual learning style.
  • Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to the SENCO and class teacher.
  • Use effective behaviour management strategies to encourage positive behaviour and engagement.
  • Support classroom activities and contribute to a welcoming, inclusive learning environment.
Ideal Candidate
  • Minimum 2:1 degree (Psychology or related subject desirable).
  • Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEN (Autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and committed to supporting the development of children with additional needs.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available).
