A leading sportswear company in Mauguio is seeking an experienced Wholesale Marketplace Merchandiser (France Product Manager) to join from Montpellier or Paris. The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of relevant experience in Merchandising, fluent English communication, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to define seasonal strategies and ensure operational excellence.

Wholesale Marketplace Merchandiser (France Product Manager) M/F/X

We have a fantastic opportunity to join ASICS as Wholesale Marketplace Merchandiser (France Product Manager) M/F/X from our Montpellier headoffice or Paris.

Be the bridge between Regional Sales & EMEA Category product team, with a very strong focus on our sportstyle range and business.

Deliver the country’s annual budget targets by managing the product assortment in line with category strategy, commercial accounts plans and customers ambitions.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Define Seasonal Range Strategies & Assortment Planning

  • Provide EMEA and Market feedbacks on the product line prior to line finalization to optimize the range.
  • Deliver assortment excellence in Wholesale and ensure Sales follow the initial Seasonal Assortment Strategy.
  • Line Development:
    • Inputs: In collaboration with the Planner, consolidate business insights from previous seasons to guide future assortment strategies using historical analysis and market knowledge / trends.
    • Adaptation: In conjunction with the Planner, adjust and adapt commercial expectations as the line develops and raise any risks or opportunities to the financials.
    • Align long term plans with Sportstyle Strategic accounts to anticipate future opportunities in the line.

Systems and Process

  • Continuously monitor ways of working and suggest opportunities for improved efficiency and process enhancement.
  • Develop a clear understanding of the systems and data flow within ASICS to be able to identify opportunities for improvement. Work with the key relationships within the business to manage the flow and accuracy.

Collaborate with other Merchandisers to assess operational/functional performance, proactively identify gaps in Marketplace Merchandising processes and address improvement.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Merchandising, Economy, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Business Analytics.
  • A minimum of 4+ years relevant working experience gained in a multi-channel and in Merchandising or product related position in the fashion industry.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

Knowledge

  • Fluent in English is a must.
  • Good understanding of the Sportstyle environment.
  • College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Economy, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Business Analytics.
  • A minimum of 4 years’ relevant working experience.
  • Able to present financial strategies (linked to the buy) at all levels.
  • Strong numeracy and forecasting skills.
  • Proactive, results-driven team player, able to perform under deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of relevant systems and applications.
