As the leader of Small to Medium Business, you will have the exciting opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of emerging technology. Your responsibilities will include building and managing a highly talented sales team focused on driving adoption and market penetration. This leader will analyze data to extract business insights, develop GTM strategies, scale the business, and lead a team of SMB-focused AMs on customers' cloud journeys. The team will invest efforts to gain a deeper understanding of customer needs and collect feedback to identify market-leading patterns and support business initiatives.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) are responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest-growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers, including the public sector.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Build and manage the small and mid-sized commercial team
  2. Support the evolution, integration, and implementation of strategies, systems, and processes to meet rapid business growth and target attainment
  3. Manage monthly business reporting to senior leadership and maintain the rhythm of business
  4. Analyze data and trends, and make informed recommendations to the commercial teams and managers
  5. Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets and ensure customer satisfaction
  6. Work with partners to extend reach and drive adoption
  7. Manage contract negotiations

Minimum qualifications
  • 10+ years of management experience, with proven success in managing teams, achieving goals, and collaborating across functions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • BA/BS degree required
  • Self-starter with the ability to develop and execute territory plans and consistently deliver results
  • Strategic and analytical thinking about sales, business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build compelling value propositions and work cross-organizationally
  • Technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS is a plus
  • Experience engaging with SMB accounts and interacting with software developers and architects
