Reporting to: Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM) and General Director.
Location: Hybrid (on‑site or regional, with frequent travel to the site as required). Regions: Bordeaux / Cognac / Limoges & Paris.

Summary of the Role

As the Sales & Events Manager at Domaine des Étangs, Auberge Collection, you will play a key role in growing group sales and enhancing the brand. Your primary goal is to proactively generate leads, build relationships, and secure group bookings, focusing on corporate retreats, social events and private rentals during shoulder and off‑peak periods. You will conduct proactive sales activities throughout the region, developing relationships with potential clients and converting leads into confirmed business. This role is ideal for a self‑driven, results‑oriented sales professional who can balance strategic and operative work, build strong client relationships, and collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams to maximize revenue. Your mission is to develop the group pipeline locally and nationally, positioning Domaine des Étangs as a leading destination for corporate and social events.

Job Focus
  • 70% Sales: develop and proactively grow the group and event portfolio (corporate, social, retreats, privatizations).
  • 30% Events: support event coordination from signing through execution, ensuring a smooth and memorable experience for clients.
Key Responsibilities
Sales (70%)
  • Proactive business development: Prospect and generate new business within a 2‑hour radius of the Domaine and in major French cities.
  • Sales cycle management: Identify, qualify, negotiate, and close group contracts (corporate, social, retreats, buyouts).
  • Client relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships, provide personalized follow‑up, and promote loyalty.
  • Lead generation & sales: Actively seek new group leads through networking, cold calls, industry event participation, and leveraging local and national connections. Present proposals, negotiate contracts, and close group sales to maximize revenue.
  • Strategic sales: Monitor competitor activity and market trends, providing insights to improve sales strategies, product offers, and promotional activities to stay competitive in the group sales market.
Events (30%)
  • Client entertainment and site visits: Plan and organize site visits for potential clients, including entertainment and personalized tours of the estate.
  • Collaboration with internal teams: Work with GSO and ADOS teams to ensure group bookings are managed efficiently, and coordinate with F&B and Operations for event logistics.
  • Post‑event follow‑up: Ensure client satisfaction through post‑event debriefs, feedback collection, and ongoing communication to encourage future business opportunities.
Job Functions
  • Sales prospecting: Conduct regular sales visits and meetings with local clients to develop new leads and expand the group sales pipeline.
  • Sales cycle management: Track opportunities from A to Z (prospecting → proposal → contract → post‑event follow‑up).
  • Group lead management: Ensure accurate entry and management of group leads and reservations, providing regular updates to the sales team.
  • Client relationships: Serve as the main point of contact for group clients, including VIP reception and high‑quality service throughout their stay.
  • Market research: Collect information on market shopping trends and provide regular feedback to sales and marketing teams. Stay informed on competitor activity and suggest potential strategy adjustments.
  • Event coordination support: Assist in organizing corporate and social events and other special marketing initiatives to promote the estate.
  • Operational marketing support: Contribute to the implementation of campaigns (newsletters, social media, sales support materials).
  • Media and influencer stay organization: Prepare, coordinate and welcome press guests in liaison with our agencies.
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience in sales, event or group sales, preferably in luxury hotel industry.
  • Solid knowledge of the national market and regional commercial landscape.
  • Fluency in French and English, with excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency with Google Suites and familiarity with CRM systems and digital marketing tools is an asset.
