This is a post-doctoral position in geometric graph theory. The researcher will work in the G-SCOP laboratory, in the \"Combinatorial Optimization\" team, on geometric aspects of graph theory, in particular the links between structure and metric, and the algorithmic consequences.
Topics of interest include coarse equivalents of classical graph theorems and parameters, asymptotic minors, and coarse embeddings.
Candidates with a background on algorithmic, structural, and/or metric graph theory are welcome to apply. Please do not hesitate to contact louis.esperet@grenoble-inp.fr if you have any question.
The starting date of the position is planned to be in September or October 2026 but can be negotiated. The gross salary will be between 2900 and 3300 euros per month, depending on the candidate's experience (this corresponds to a net pay of approximately 2150-2400 euros per month).
The position is funded by the French ANR project Mimétique on coarse graph theory and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with colleagues from LaBRI (Bordeaux), LIRIS (Lyon), IMAG (Montpellier), and LIS (Marseille) on topics of the project. The website of the project is not up yet, but the candidates can either refer to the list of topics included above or ask louis.esperet@grenoble-inp.fr for the 20p pdf of the whole proposal.
