Procurement Manager (Full-Time, On-Site - Mougins, France)

Company Overview

A well-established French pharmaceutical company specializing in natural health and nutrition since 1948. It is a market leader in trace element therapy and sports nutrition, and part of an international pharmaceutical group with operations in France, Spain, Italy, and the United States. The company develops and markets natural and effective solutions for families, including medicines, dietary supplements, nutrition products, and natural cosmetics.

Role Summary

To support ongoing growth, the company is hiring a Procurement Manager responsible for overseeing procurement and inventory flow of raw materials, components, and finished goods. This role is key to optimizing processes, reducing costs, and driving continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities
Procurement Management
  • Lead the procurement team handling finished and semi-finished products, components, promotional materials, etc.
  • Ensure timely, cost-effective, and quantity-accurate procurement.
  • Manage supplier relationships and support the team in resolving supply issues (e.g., delays, shortages).
  • Share monthly purchasing forecasts with suppliers to ensure effective planning.
Inventory Optimization
  • Monitor stock levels to minimize costs and losses while ensuring product availability.
  • Oversee inventory at warehouses and subcontractor sites.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards to anticipate stockouts and improve purchasing processes.
Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, R&D, Marketing, Customer Service, and Regulatory / Quality teams.
  • Ensure procedures and operational guidelines are documented and accessible.
  • Communicate regularly about stockouts and expected replenishment timelines.
Data & Systems Management
  • Configure and maintain product data in SAP according to operational needs.
  • Ensure accurate creation and updates of product records in the ERP system.
Candidate Profile
Education & Experience
  • Master's degree (or equivalent) in Supply Chain, Industrial Logistics, Purchasing, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
Skills
  • Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory management, and planning processes.
  • Proficiency in SAP (MM module preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus.
