A leading research organization in France is seeking a part-time Researcher to join the Neuropop team at the Lyon Neuroscience Research Center. This position is offered as part of the ROSE project. The aim of the project is to develop a proof of concept combining miniaturized odor sensors and neural stimulators, which will be evaluated in patients with smell disorders. The project is coordinated by the CNRS (Lyon Neuroscience Research Center, CRNL) and combines the efforts of six other international partners: Politecnico di Milano (Italy), the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (Switzerland), the University of Thessaloniki (Greece), the University of Dresden (Germany), Aryballe (France, Grenoble), and the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA, France, Grenoble). The post-doc's tasks will be to coordinate the research carried out at the CRNL, from planning/conducting experiments to organizing and processing data and promoting its valorization.
The candidate will work within the Neuropop team at the Lyon Neuroscience Research Center (Vinatier site in Bron, Neurocampus building). This team is made up of seven researchers and around ten doctoral students, and its research topics on human and animal models focus on the plasticity of olfaction. Part of the research is dedicated to smell disorders, in collaboration with the medical community (ENT specialists in particular). Resources provided (equipment, IT, etc.):
