Could you be the full-time Operability Engineer in LA ROCHELLE we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your systems engineering expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.

You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our rolling stock throughout its lifecycle. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as vehicle system architects, validation teams, and quality assurance teams), engage with external stakeholders like railway operators and homologation authorities, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of analyzing operational needs and defining operability requirements, but also support the development and verification of operational use cases.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Identifying the operability context of the rolling stock to be developed
  • Performing in-depth analysis of source requirements, including customer requirements, norms, and laws
  • Collaborating with project teams to manage identified gaps in operability requirements
  • Developing operational use case scenarios using methodologies like \"Day In The Life-cycle Of The Train\" (DITLOTT)
  • Assisting in defining human interfaces for users, such as driver’s desks and tooling
  • Providing Return on Experience (RoE) to improve standard solutions
  • Exchanging knowledge within the operability-related community and conducting local training when necessary
All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • A Master’s degree in Engineering
  • Experience or understanding of system engineering on large-scale projects
  • Awareness of railway operability aspects, such as operational environments, needs, and procedures
  • Knowledge of requirements management tools like DOORS
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Systems Modelling Language (SysML)
  • Strong analytical skills to understand complex systems engineering cases
  • Excellent communication skills in English (and other languages depending on job location)
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across multiple sites and cultures
  • Experience in organizing and leading workshops
Things you’ll enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines
  • Work with new security standards for rail signalling
  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues
  • Contribute to innovative projects
  • Utilise our flexible and inclusive working environment
  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries
  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning
  • Progress towards roles such as Train System Métier Manager or Train System Domain Leader
  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
