A leading manufacturing company in Dunkerque is looking for a skilled maintenance technician to inspect and maintain plant equipment, including furnaces and presses. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills and be able to work with various hand and power tools. This role requires the ability to direct production employees during machinery breakdowns and follows specific instructions for all maintenance tasks.
PRIMARY FUNCTION
To inspect, repair, and maintain all plant equipment, including furnaces, presses, and all related equipment inside and outside the plant. Includes Carpenter, Electrician, Millright, and Welder craft skills.
Hand tools such as: socket; box end; open-end wrenches; pliers; screw drivers; portable power tools; drills; skill saw; sander; grinder; oxyacetylene cutting outfit; electric arc welding equipment; micrometers; depth gauges; vernier calipers; sheet metal shears; voltage tester; ammeter and voltmeter; pipe wrenches; pipe threaders; taps and dies for chasing and cutting machine threads; saws; cross-cut and rip; hand hammer; tube cutters and flaring tool; hydraulic jacks; hydraulic pumps; water pumps; fork lift trucks; come-a-long; chains; slings; ladders; drainage snakes; bolt cutters; pressure gauges; power hack saw; gear pullers; “C” clamps; chain falls; clock and tackle; soldering iron; blueprints and sketches.
Forging presses, and their component parts, all other plant equipment, including but not limited to; hydraulic, electrical, and plumbing systems; heating and cooling systems; recirculating water systems; gas and electric ovens and furnaces, cranes, plant utilities, air compressors, exhaust systems, etc.
Plant Superintendent, Maintenance Foreman, and Production Foreman.
May direct production employees while assisting during breakdowns.
