Interim Head of Finance

Location : Paris (Hybrid) | Type : Freelance Mission (Full-Time)

Day Rate : €500–700 per day

We’re working with a fast-growing, highly regulated financial services firm in Paris that’s looking for an experienced Head of Finance to join on an initial 4-month freelance mission, with strong potential to transition into a permanent leadership role.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, scaling environment where you’ll take ownership of the finance function and play a key role in driving strategy, control, and growth.

The Role

You will be responsible for :

• Leading the finance function for the French entity, including accounting, control, and reporting.
• Designing and implementing solid financial control and forecasting processes.
• Driving financial strategy to increase profitability and capital efficiency.
• Overseeing statutory and consolidated reporting under French GAAP and IFRS.
• Supporting audits, regulatory risk management, and advising on complex finance issues.
• Building and scaling the local finance team while collaborating with global functions.
• Contributing to key business decisions on growth, resourcing, and expansion initiatives.

Who We’re Looking For

10+ years’ experience in finance, accounting, and control within the banking or financial services sector.

Strong expertise in IFRS, French GAAP, and consolidated reporting.

Experience shaping financial strategy in high-growth, regulated environments.

Hands-on leader with strong analytical skills and the ability to scale teams and processes.

Fluent in French and English.

Must be eligible to work as a freelancer in France.

Key Details

Contract : Initial 4 months (freelance / independent contractor) – strong potential to convert to a permanent role.

Rate : €500–700 per day (depending on experience).

Location : Paris – 1–2 days per week in the office (near Gare du Nord).

Requirement : Prior experience in banking or financial services is essential.
