YOUR ROLE :

The CMA CGM Group is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee, coordinate, and manage all construction and fit‑out operations across our sites in France. This role is embedded in an execution‑focused project management dynamic, requiring a strong hands‑on presence on‑site to ensure compliance with deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.

Acting as a PMO (Project Management Officer), the Construction Project Manager will lead large‑scale workplace and site development projects, requiring a structured and comprehensive approach to project execution and stakeholder coordination.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
  • Coordinate construction and fit‑out projects nationwide (new builds, refurbishments, interior fit‑outs, etc.).
  • Lead the execution phase of projects: on‑site supervision, issue resolution, validation of key project milestones.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines and work schedules; provide regular updates to senior management.
  • Conduct and lead site meetings with contractors, design offices, architects, project consultants (AMO), etc.
  • Ensure compliance with technical specifications, legal standards, and contractual obligations.
  • Manage construction budgets: cost tracking, quotation analysis, invoice validation, and cost optimization.
  • Support senior management as a PMO on complex transformation projects (e.g., site restructuring, major workplace developments).
  • Participate in the design and planning phase alongside external partners (architects, engineering firms).
  • Act as the liaison between internal stakeholders (real estate, operations, top management, etc.) and external service providers.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?
  • Education: Master’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Construction, Structural, or related field), or equivalent with strong field experience.
  • Solid understanding of design and engineering principles.
  • 10+ years of experience in a similar role (Construction Engineer, Site Manager, Project Manager, etc.), ideally with a background in technical project management.
  • Strong command of project management tools and site supervision practices.
  • In‑depth knowledge of technical regulations and building codes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a structured and methodical approach.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills; team player with leadership capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel nationally across France as required.
