A growing organic growth agency is seeking a meticulous French-speaking freelance editor to join its editorial team. You will edit long-form articles and blogs, ensuring clarity and grammar while adhering to SEO best practices. The ideal candidate has over 2 years of experience in editing B2B content and is detail-oriented, punctual, and independent. This remote position offers a rate of $35 USD per hour, and we welcome applicants who thrive in an independent work environment.
Omniscient Digital is a growing organic growth agency seeking a meticulous French-speaking freelance editor to join our editorial team. This role focuses on editing long-form articles, blogs, and SEO content written in fluent Standard French (français standard).
You must be fully fluent in Standard French and able to edit for grammar, tone, clarity, and voice at a native or near-native level.

Note: We do not work with editors or writers who subcontract their work.
Edit a variety of content types (blogs, guides, marketing materials) in fluent Standard French. Review long-form and marketing content to ensure it reads naturally, clearly, and professionally for B2B and technical audiences.
Ensure content is grammatically correct, clear, and aligned with tone, brand, and editorial guidelines. Polish every piece to match client voice and ensure formatting, structure, and messaging are consistent with internal standards.
Provide clear, constructive feedback to writers. Collaborate with writers and offer actionable guidance to improve structure, clarity, and narrative flow across drafts.
Fact-check statistics, claims, and links to ensure accuracy and reliability. Verify factual information and sources to keep pieces credible and up-to-date.
Edit for SEO without sacrificing readability. Apply SEO best practices (keyword placement and metadata) while prioritizing clarity and reader value.
Meet tight deadlines, typically within 24–48 hours, while managing multiple projects and maintaining quality.
Communicate with the editorial lead about deadlines and project status to ensure alignment on timelines and priorities.
Utilize the style guide to ensure editorial consistency across client work.
Fluent in Standard French (français standard). You write and edit with native or near-native fluency.
Strong understanding of French grammar, spelling, and style rules with the ability to apply them confidently.
2+ years of experience editing B2B, SaaS, or technical/SEO content.
Meticulous. You’re detail-oriented and ensure every sentence is clean and in the right voice.

Punctual. Deadlines are non-negotiable and you communicate if timelines shift.

Independent. You work well remotely and take ownership of your tasks.
A degree in journalism, French studies, linguistics, communications, marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Please submit 3–5 samples of written or edited content in Standard French. At least 2 should focus on B2B, SaaS, or technical topics. Older samples are acceptable if accompanied by more recent work.
