Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of experience with U.S. Export Control regulations (ITAR and EAR); knowledge of EU Export Control regulations is ideal.
  • Experience in the aerospace industry is highly valued.
  • Strong relationship-building, networking, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly organised, action-oriented, customer-focused and proactive.
  • Capability to multitask and set priorities to meet tight deadlines.
  • High degree of credibility, independence, integrity, confidentiality and trust.
  • Fluent in English with excellent writing skills.
  • Position may require a security clearance.

Job Description

Airbus is looking for an Export Control Investigator (m / f) to join our Legal department based in Toulouse, France. In the current effort to further implement Export Control regulations, Airbus needs professionals to investigate allegations of potential Export Control violations and prepare required disclosures to relevant export authorities, especially the U.S. DDTC and BIS. The Export Control Investigations team at Group level oversees this process and works across all divisions and regions.

Responsibilities
  • Organise and coordinate Export Control investigations, including planning and conducting thorough investigations of export‑control alerts, implementing immediate remedial measures, identifying breaches, root causes, and appropriate corrective actions.
  • Manage outside legal counsel.
  • Draft disclosures for filing with relevant government authorities and produce investigation reports.
  • Draft internal reports and give presentations on trends, KPIs and relevant topics.
  • Collaborate with the Export Control function and Program Office on compliance‑program improvements and strategies to prevent recurrence of violations.
  • Work with divisions, regions and subsidiaries to ensure adherence to Airbus policies on compliance, Export Control allegations, escalation, investigations and voluntary disclosure.
  • Play a key role in developing and deploying best practices in internal export‑control investigations, including training and awareness sessions within Export Control teams and other Airbus functions.
