Applications are now open for theENS International Selection Scholarship 2026. Each year, theÉcole Normale Supérieure (ENS), a prestigious French university, organizes a highly competitive international selection to award20 scholarshipsto students globally, enabling them to pursue aDiploma or a Master’s Degreeprogram. Successful candidates of the ENS International Selection Competition will receive a comprehensive scholarship package to study at the university. This package includes a generousmonthly stipend of 1,000 eurosfor three years, afree roomin one of the ENS campuses, and awaiver of all tuition fees. Eligible Study Fields at ENS

  • Anthropology, Archaeology, Classical Studies (Greek, Latin), Film Studies, Theatre Studies, History of Art, Musicology, Cognitive Sciences, Economics, Political Studies, Geography, History, History and Philosophy of Law, History and Philosophy of Science, Linguistics (language sciences), Literature, Philosophy, Sociology. Candidates choose one of these disciplines.
  • Sciences: Biology, Chemistry, Geosciences, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Cognitive Sciences. Candidates must choose a major discipline (mandatory) and a minor discipline (optional).
Eligibility Criteria
  • The ENS International Selection Scholarship is open to all the Nationals.
  • The ENS Scholarship is open to First-time applicants only.
  • Proof of previous educational records is required.
  • Apply before you reach your 26th birthday.
  • Not residing in France for more than 10 months in the past two years.

  • Motivation Letter (1 to 3 pages)
  • Research Project of 3 pages maximum (10,000 characters including spaces)
  • All these documents must be in PDF and must be named “Family Name-Given Name.pdf.”
  • 2 to 4 letters of recommendation
Test

The ENS International Selection Competition consists of 2 oral tests.

  • Scientific oral of at least (One Hour)
  • Scientific culture interview (45-60 minutes)
