CMA Terminals is a port operator used to develop, design, build, own and operate terminals and dry docks. CMA Terminals welcomes CMA CGM lines but also invites all shipping companies to develop terminals and offer a top quality service.

Your role

CMA Terminals Mayotte is an asset of CMA Terminals Holding and is located in Longoni (department of Mayotte).

As Deputy CEO, and jointly with CEO and other heads of department, you will have to manage a team of 120 employees, to monitor activities and to propose solutions when necessary to maintain expected service level to our customers and to achieve budget set up by shareholders.

You will assist the CEO to ensure that management and operational priorities are met in a safe manner and support all projects associated with the terminal operations.

What are you going to do ?
  • Study and formulate with the COO the best operational strategies to be implemented and warrant that operations are made in a safe manner and in compliance with our process
  • Ensure performance and cost-efficiency by analyzing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) in the areas of operation, maintenance and HSSE, and initiate improvement solutions whenever needed
  • Be involved in all development projects related to operations and innovation, as well as business development
  • Be a key element in social relations with workers and support action of CEO in this field
  • Define processes and procedures in cooperation with HSSE and ensure a safe working environment by strict compliance with HSSE policies. Impulse and coordinate the yearly reconduction of ISO certification 9001, 14001 and 45001
  • Prepare with the CEO, the annual budget and control expenses and prepare and implement short, middle and long-term goals defined with the CEO
  • Participate in the negotiation of agreements and contracts with suppliers and customers
  • Maintain regular communication with all stakeholders for satisfaction/need evaluation and participate in the maintenance of close relationships with all labor unions with the COO.
Who are we looking for ?
  • You have a degree in industrial activity management from a Business School or Engineering School and at least 10 years' overall professional experience, including 5 years in similar positions in the maritime sector (ideally terminal operations)
  • Your ability to adapt allows you to feel at ease in any type of context and relationship
  • You put your managerial and leadership skills at the service of your sense of performance and results
  • Excellent in oral and written communication, you have the negotiating skills and sense of relationship necessary for social dialogue
  • French and English fluent, Chimaore is a plus
  • General and specific knowledge of IT tools used in the management of a container terminal and P&L management.
