Overview

Job Purpose: Supports the Depot Engineer in managing Depots and workshops, coordinating building and facilities operations to meet objectives set by the Building and Facilities Management Unit. Responsibilities include overseeing maintenance activities for MEP systems, reporting on progress, managing subcontractors, and ensuring task completion. With an engineering background and technical knowledge, the role contributes to efficient Depot operations.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Depot Engineer in overseeing Depot and workshop management duties.
  • Conduct planned maintenance, breakdown repairs, and condition monitoring for all MEP systems (HVAC, Firefighting, Dewatering, Electrical, etc.).
  • Provide status reports on failures and work progress to BFM staff.
  • Participate in and contribute to regular teamwork, occasionally outside normal working hours.
  • Manage subcontractors as needed.
  • Ensure completion of assigned tasks.
  • Initiate and track planned maintenance requests.
  • Perform general tasks as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (Electrical or Mechanical or Mechatronics engineering).
Knowledge
  • Proficient in general technical knowledge.
  • Skilled in team management.
  • Optional: Familiarity with railway operations.
  • Experience with EAM systems such as Maximo.
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in maintenance environments and projects.
  • Experience with change management culture.
  • Familiarity with improvement methods and quality standards.
