Job Summary: Our organization is undertaking an ambitious data transformation, and we are seeking a Data Platform & Business Intelligence Expert to lead the charge.

You will ensure that our data infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and secure, and that our BI deliverables (dashboards, reports, analytics) effectively meet business needs.

As expert, you will play a key role in establishing and evolving our data capabilities – from pipeline to dashboard – ensuring the quality, performance, and security of the delivered solutions.

Responsibilities

• Technical Data Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain the overall architecture for Data & BI solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
• Our Data & BI Expert is responsible for overseeing the technical Data & BI architecture, supporting our team of developers. This role requires dual expertise: in BI platforms (Medallion architecture, Star schema, Power BI) and in data engineering (data pipelines, cloud, governance).
• Project Leadership: The expert is also a Doer and can lead Data & BI projects from inception to completion, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions.

• Data Architecture & BI Platforms: Design and implement scalable and secure data architectures supporting both BI and advanced analytics use cases.

Strong experience in data engineering, including pipeline development, orchestration, and data modeling.

Stay updated with the latest BI technologies and trends.

• Cloud Platforms and Tools: Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and cloud‑native data services. Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools for data workflows (e.g., Git, DevOps pipelines). Familiarity with data governance tools and practices (e.g., data catalog, lineage, quality monitoring).

• Quality Assurance: Implement best practices for quality of BI developments (data model, stored procedures, respect of norms). Conduct regular reviews and testing to ensure the accuracy, performance and reliability of Data/BI solutions.
• Documentation: Ensure the team maintains comprehensive documentation of Data/BI solutions, including technical specifications, user guides, and training materials.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10 years + experience
• Proven experience in Data/BI technical leadership and architecture of modern data platform on cloud platforms.
• Strong expertise in BI platforms and Power BI, Master BI development
• Strong expertise in modern data platforms and tools like Databricks, dbt, Airflow
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks, data products and data contracts.
• Excellent project management skills with a track record of successful BI project delivery.
• Experience in managing and mentoring development teams.
• Knowledge in SAP modules and tables, S/4 would be appreciated.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• Experience with other BI tools and technologies.
