A fast-growing scale-up in the space industry is seeking a Customer & Launcher Mission Manager for its In-Orbit Services. This role involves managing customer mission contracts and ensuring successful launch integration. Ideal candidates will have an engineering degree and at least 5 years of experience in the space sector. The position offers the option to work in Massy or Toulouse.

Job Description

Exotrail is looking for a Customer & LauncherMission Manager for its In-Orbit Services product line. The IOS Mission management team is currently expanding in line with the rampup of spacevan fleet (LEO and GEO missions planned).

Within the IOS Mission management team and under the management of the Head of IOS Mission Management, you will be responsible for complete execution of the Mission: Customer Mission & Launch Integration.

Your main tasks will be:

  • Customer Mission Management: You will manage IOS Customer Mission contracts. You will be the focal point of the Customer during execution of spacehost (hosted payload) and spacedrop (deployable payload) services contract. As such, you will be managing contractual, programmatic and technical aspects during the three main stages of the Customer Mission: Mission Integration, Payload Integration and Payload Operations.
  • Launch Integration Management: You will be the designated interface of the Launch Service Provider. You will ensure the correct execution of Launch Services contract from Launcher Mission Analysis Integration up to spacevan assembly to Launcher. You will lead internal activities aimed to provide the required deliverables for Launch Integration: Mission Analysis Inputs, Launch Campaign Operations, Range Safety Submission.
  • You will work in close interaction with the IOS engineering team, including system engineers, payload engineers, AIT engineers and satellite operations engineers.
  • The position is open in our offices in Massy or in Toulouse.
Preferred Experience

Typically, the candidate:

  • Shall have an engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years working experience in space industry with experience in management (direct or cross-functional) and customer interface.
  • Desired : Knowledge of launch services or launcher interface
  • People skills with ability to develop privileged relationships
  • Negotiating skills, with aim to reach mutual satisfactory solutions
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken,
  • Autonomous, rigorous and detailed oriented
