Control Coordinator – Banking Operations Juridical
As a Control Coordinator, you will strengthen our first line of defense within Banking Operations. You will oversee key administrative processes regarding client accounts—specifically managing seizures, collective procedures, and account closures—to ensure every action is secure, compliant, and efficient.
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely execution of monthly controls across all Banking Operations Juridical markets (France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, Portugal)
- Drive automation of control processes to increase efficiency and coverage while reducing manual intervention and potential errors
- Design and implement new controls aligned with evolving team activities and regulatory requirements, staying ahead of operational risks
- Act as the primary point of contact for Internal Control (second line of defense), facilitating seamless collaboration and information exchange
- Produce regular reports on control findings, trends, and key risk indicators for management and stakeholders
- Partner with scope leads to track and monitor countermeasures for identified control issues, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement

About your future manager
You will report to the Head of Banking Operations Juridical, who leads the team responsible for ensuring smooth and secure operations across all Qonto markets. He brings extensive experience in Operations and Banking, having led key Qonto company projects before joining the Banking Operations Juridical team. He is committed to building a robust, scalable control environment while developing team members’ expertise.
About you
- Analytical mindset: excel at working with numbers and identifying patterns. Proficiency in Google Sheets and/or SQL is strongly appreciated.
- Autonomy: independently manage workload, prioritize effectively, and take ownership of control perimeter without constant supervision.
- Control experience: experience in internal control, audit, or compliance within banking, payments, or financial services environments.
- Process improvement: builder who can identify automation opportunities and design new controls that add real value.
- Attention to detail: sharp eye for inconsistencies and tenacity to follow the thread until issues are fully understood and documented.
- Language skills: strong command of English and fluent in French, Spanish, or German.
