A leading transportation systems company in Hauts-de-France is seeking a Buyer for CDS Interiors to manage supplier performance and support project execution. The ideal candidate possesses a Master's degree and at least 3 years of experience in an industrial environment, preferably in railways. Key responsibilities include negotiating contracts with suppliers and ensuring quality in project deliveries. Proficiency in English is mandatory.

The Buyer is responsible for supporting project execution by managing suppliers' Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performances. We are looking for new talent to join our Buyer team within the CDS Interiors (Components Development Site).

Your responsibilities:

  1. Review supplier selections with the Commodity Manager to secure RFQs (Request For Quotation) and ensure project execution and profitability.
  2. Track sourcing performance in projects and implement action plans in case of deviations.
  3. Negotiate contracts with suppliers and manage suppliers' QCD performances.
  4. Work closely with CDS Project Management, Engineering, and Supplier Quality teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  5. Support the team on supplier quality and supply chain issues, including Cost of Non-Quality (CONQ) management.

Knowledge & experience:

Master's degree (engineering or business school) with a specialization in purchasing and at least 3 years of experience as a Project Buyer in an industrial environment, preferably within railway or similar industries. Proven experience in supplier negotiation and product schedule management. Technical knowledge of metallic and plastic processes is an asset.

Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
