Overview

We are seeking an experienced Automation Project Manager to support a major pharmaceutical manufacturing programme on a 12-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing automation project delivery from design through handover, ensuring alignment with corporate standards, budgets, timelines, and regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

• Act as project lead for automation scope within medium to large projects, and as full project manager for smaller projects.
• Drive automation design and configuration according to ISA-88 Batch standards.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, resources, and stakeholder alignment.
• Coordinate with other project disciplines to ensure seamless interfaces.
• Oversee supplier and sub-supplier management, including scope, delivery, and quality.
• Lead testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Report progress and project performance to senior management.

Qualifications

• Degree in Automation Engineering (B.Sc. / M.Sc.) or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in process automation solutions (DCS).
• At least 2 years’ experience as a project manager or lead within automation projects.
• Knowledge of GMP environments, including up / downstream processes, CIP / SIP, freeze drying, spray drying, and packaging.
• Strong understanding of ISA-88 Batch automation.
• Excellent communication skills in French and English.
• Proactive, results-oriented, and able to maintain oversight across multiple project phases.
