The Role

The Assistant Store Manager plays a critical leadership role in bringing Saucony’s retail vision to life in Paris.

You are a leader on the floor, a coach to the team, a trusted partner to the Store Manager, and a visible ambassador of the brand. You help translate strategy into daily action ensuring that standards are high, guests feel welcomed, and the team grows in confidence and capability.

This role is ideal for someone ready to step into senior leadership, deepen their commercial and people-management skills, and build towards a future Store Manager role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a day-to-day leader on the shop floor, setting the tone through energy, behaviour and presence.
  • Coach and support Sales Associates to deliver confident, authentic guest interactions.
  • Support onboarding, training and development of new team members.
  • Help identify strengths, development areas and future leaders within the team.
  • Step into Store Manager responsibilities when required, with confidence and ownership.
  • Contribute to building a positive, inclusive and high-performing team culture.

This is not a “task supervisor” role, it’s about developing people and raising standards through example.

2. Guest Experience
  • Ensure every guest feels welcomed, supported and part of the Saucony community.
  • Be a product expert, confident speaking about footwear, apparel, fit and usage.
  • Lead by example in delivering natural, human conversations (never scripted selling).
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve issues with empathy and professionalism.
  • Support the Store Manager in maintaining a consistent, high-quality guest journey.
3. Community & Brand Representation
  • Actively support and participate in run clubs, events and workshops.
  • Build genuine relationships with regular guests and local community members.
  • Help create a store atmosphere that feels warm, open and unmistakably Saucony.
  • Represent the brand values on and off the shop floor.
4. Commercial & Operational Excellence
  • Support the Store Manager in delivering key KPIs: conversion, ATV, UPT, staffing efficiency and community engagement.
  • Take ownership of daily trading performance and floor management.
  • Ensure operational standards are met consistently (opening/closing routines, cash handling, stock processes).
  • Support visual merchandising standards and product storytelling.
  • Help maintain a safe, well-run and well-organised store environment.
