Overview

The Assistant Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day club operations, ensuring that performance and objectives are met to provide a Judgment Free member experience. Assists in hiring, firing, and training, leads the team with a focus on employee development, and helps ensure a financially successful club. Regularly directs front desk personnel.

Reports to: Club Manager

Responsibilities
  • Assist Club Manager in creating staffing schedules to ensure all shifts are regularly covered.
  • Lead by example and maintain accountability for direct reports by training and coaching staff to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Lead a team through systems and operations to achieve common goals.
  • Assist in preparation of all HR-related forms in a timely manner.
  • Work with Club Manager to resolve employee issues or concerns professionally.
  • Provide backup support for any employee who is absent.
  • Uphold the integrity and security of staff files and sensitive company documents.
  • Be a brand ambassador by leading a Judgment Free lifestyle.
  • Assist in the training and development of staff, including day-to-day coaching.
  • Assist in pre-screening, hiring, onboarding, and recruiting.
  • Greet members and guests, provide exceptional customer service, and make them feel welcomed.
  • Answer phones professionally and assist callers.
  • Give tours, sign up new members, log amenities, and communicate updates and events to members and guests.
  • Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Handle beverage or merchandise purchases on the POS systems.
  • Assist in emergency medical situations.
  • Uphold facility rules and policies.
  • Weekly detailing of tanning beds/acrylics/vents.
  • Weekly counting and tracking of inventory.
  • Run necessary reports daily.
  • Lead by example and maintain consistent accountability; communicate effectively between all staff members.
Member Accounts
  • Utilize Datatrak to update barcodes, address changes, and billing or payment questions.
  • Properly submit refund proposals.
  • Create new memberships.
  • Uphold integrity and security of member documents and sensitive information at all times.
Club Cleanliness and Maintenance
  • Keep front desk area and lobby clean and orderly.
  • Regular facility cleaning and upkeep, and regular cleaning of equipment and tanning units.
  • Ensure restrooms are clean, stocked, and clutter-free by following a routine cleaning schedule.
  • Complete daily and weekly cleaning responsibilities accurately.
  • Oversee worker safety and report repairs to the Director of Operations and maintenance technician promptly.
Qualifications/Skills
  • One year of customer service experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Exceptional leadership and diplomacy skills.
  • Represent PFMW core values of respect, passion, family, teamwork, fun, trust, and loyalty.
  • Willing to travel for training and supporting other locations occasionally.
  • May require overtime, weekends, evenings, and holidays; must be flexible.
Physical Demands
  • Continual standing and walking during shifts.
  • Continual speaking in person or on the phone during shift.
  • Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
  • Frequent climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, pulling, and grasping.
  • Employee must avoid placing themselves under any equipment.
