Position Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Applied AI Lead Engineer to technically lead our Applied AI Engineering team in the development of AI products across the team.blue group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leveraging LLMs to build exceptional products and experiences. This role requires an applied engineering mindset, strong programming skills, and up-to-date knowledge of the latest AI developments.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and launch reliable and high-performing multimodal AI products and systems that integrate text, image, voice, and video
• Implement agentic AI systems using tools such as MCP servers and APIs
• Build end-to-end AI-powered software applications integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines
• Integrate AI solutions into existing environments and workflows, ensuring seamless operation and performance optimization
• Conduct research on the latest AI developments and apply them to improve our systems
• Technically mentor teammates on product thinking and contribute to a culture of continuous learning
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver innovative AI solutions

Ideal Profile :

6+ years of experience in Software Engineering including as a lead, and ideally in full stack / backend product-focused software engineering

Proven hands-on experience (3+ years) using Gen AI / LLM technologies in production (e.g. LLMs, Vector databases, RAG, AI agents) and with prompt engineering techniques

Strong proficiency in backend development with Python (leveraging frameworks like FastAPI, Flask), microservices architecture and event-driven architecture(eg. KafKa, SSE, WebSocket)

Practical experience developing, deploying and scaling RAG systems and AI agents, in a production environment.

Demonstrated expertise in implementing and integrating AI solutions into existing environments.

Knowledge of LLMOps, CI / CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

Strong problem-solving skills with excellent communication and documentation skills

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Nice to have Skills :

Experience building multi-hop RAG systems with self-consistency and chain-of-thought prompting

Experience with LLM inference and serving (vLLm, LiteLLM, TensorRT-LLM)

Deep understanding of current AIOps & MLOps practices, deploying and monitoring real-time inference models and ETL pipelines

Experience with AI / ML R&D

Experience with distributed data tools (eg. Spark, Dask, Apache Beam)

Experience with cloud platform technologies
