Description du poste
Mission

As an Animator, you’ll play a key role in shaping the motion identity and visual feel of All in Hole, one of Homa’s flagship casual puzzle worlds. You will report directly to the Art Director and collaborate closely with 2D Artists, UI/UX Designers, Game Designers, and Unity Developers to bring the game’s world and mechanics to life through expressive, satisfying animation. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Create expressive 2D character, prop, and UI animations using Spine and Unity, ensuring every movement feels alive, polished, and rhythmically engaging.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with artists, designers, and engineers to prototype and refine gameplay motion, ensuring it enhances both clarity and emotional feedback.
  • Define and maintain animation consistency across the live game, balancing performance optimization and aesthetic quality.
  • Inject personality and rhythm into every loop and transition, making even the simplest animations oddly satisfying and memorable.
  • Occasionally support marketing and live-ops teams by adapting in-game assets into motion loops and ad-ready animations.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with proven expertise in 2D animation for mobile or casual games with a sharp eye for rhythm, timing, and personality. Someone who can make simple motions feel alive and connected to music and gameplay flow, turning small details into emotionally engaging moments. You’re a great fit if you have:

  • Proven experience with Spine and Unity, from rig setup to final animation integration.
  • A strong sense of timing, spacing, rhythm, and weight — able to make interactions feel tactile, coherent, and emotionally resonant.
  • Deep understanding of animation principles such as anticipation, follow-through, easing, and appeal.
  • A collaborative mindset, eager to co-create with game designers and artists to push the emotional and interactive quality of gameplay.
  • Bonus: experience in casual or stylized games, or a passion for music-driven motion and “oddly satisfying” animation loops.

Even if you don’t check every box in our requirements, we encourage you to apply. We value diverse perspectives and backgrounds, and we’re more interested in your potential and passion than a perfect match to our checklist.

Our Culture

At Homa, we prioritise talent, energy, and determination over traditional credentials. We’re building a global community of brilliant, driven people who think boldly, act with pragmatism, move fast, and push boundaries. We believe true innovation comes from diverse perspectives, deep collaboration, and curiosity without limits. Our culture is grounded in four core values:

  • Humility: We recognise that we are always learning, we can always improve and grow - we stay grounded in a clear view of ourselves.
  • Curiosity: We continuously seek the “why” behind the “what” - we explore with purpose and practicality.
  • Focus: Our curiosity takes us deeper, not wider - we obsess over the details and let pragmatism guide our attention.
  • Ambition: We strive for the best - we don’t settle for “good enough,” - we use common sense to reach higher.
Benefits

Building great games starts with building a great place to work. Here’s what you can expect:

  • 🏥 Comprehensive Benefits: Depending on your location, you’ll enjoy a range of perks such as insurance, meal vouchers, public transport, gym memberships, and more.
  • 🏢 Paris HQ Access: Enjoy a desk at our private office in a well-located WeWork building that will give you access to WeWork perks like rooftop view and designed coworking spaces.
  • 🌍 Coworking Access: You will have access to WeWork spaces throughout Europe, along with all their perks and professional office environments.
  • 🌐 Global Team: Collaborate in English with top-tier talent from 35+ countries, spanning Europe, the UK, the US, and more. Diversity fuels our creativity and innovation.
  • ✈️ Team Gatherings: We value time together beyond the screen. Join us for occasional team gatherings, off-site retreats (Workations as we name them) to connect, recharge, and celebrate.
  • 📈 Performance Reviews: We’re committed to your growth. Every six months, we reflect on your progress, recognize your achievements, and align on clear development goals.
  • 💻 Equipment Support: From day one, we’ll provide everything you need to do your best work, including a home office setup allowance if you're working remotely.
Where We Hire

Our HQ in Paris is a vibrant hub of creativity, collaboration, and connection. From rooftop lunches and coffee chats to after-work apéros and community events, we’ve designed a space people genuinely enjoy - all within a cozy WeWork filled with good energy (and snacks).

We also have incredible team members across Europe - from Spain and Turkey to Germany, North Macedonia, Poland, the UK, and more. Whether you’re working from a sunny WeWork in Barcelona or your home setup in Warsaw, you’re fully part of our culture. To keep collaboration smooth, we primarily hire within European time zones (UTC to UTC+3). If you're based there - or planning to be - we’d love to hear from you!

Please note: this is one remote position open to multiple countries, not multiple openings.
