Payroll & Accounts Receivable Accountant

We are looking for a Payroll & Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our Finance team and take ownership of payroll operations across France, the UK and the US, while also managing accounts receivable processes.

This role is hands‑on and operational, with a strong focus on accuracy, ownership, and proactive issue resolution. You will work closely with Finance, Sales and Account Management teams to ensure smooth payroll execution and timely revenue collection.

Experience with Deel and Stripe is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

Payroll Management (Multi‑Country)

• Own and review UK payroll end‑to‑end, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely processing.
• Support and coordinate France payroll, working closely with external providers and internal stakeholders.
• Oversee payroll processes for US employees, in collaboration with external partners.
• Act as the main point of contact for payroll providers across all entities.
• Proactively identify discrepancies, anomalies or risks rather than reacting after issues arise.
• Ensure payroll data consistency with accounting records and internal reporting.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation of payroll processes and controls.
• Knowledge of Deel (setup, operations, employee lifecycle management) is a strong plus.

Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Own accounts receivable operations, from invoice creation to cash collection.
• Manage Stripe:
• Create and maintain customer subscriptions
• Ensure correct billing configuration and pricing logic
• Liaise closely with Sales and Account Managers to understand contract terms, customer context and billing specifics.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and proactively follow up on overdue payments.
• Investigate and resolve billing issues or customer disputes in a timely and structured manner.
• Ensure AR data is accurate, up‑to‑date and properly reflected in financial records.
• Contribute to improving AR processes, controls and reporting as the company scales.

What we're looking for

• You have 2 to 4 years of experience as an accountant
• Proven experience in payroll operations, ideally across multiple countries (France / UK / US).
• Solid understanding of accounts receivable processes and revenue collection workflows.
• Comfortable working with Stripe; experience with Deel is a strong advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, with a proactive and problem‑solving mindset.
• Able to work cross‑functionally with Finance, Sales and Operations teams.
• Organised, autonomous and reliable, with a strong sense of ownership.
• Bilingual in French and English (written and spoken).
• Based in France and comfortable working in an international environment.
