We seek a talented and experienced 1st Engineer.
As a Hotel Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Chief Engineer with the maintenance and operation of the ship's hotel and deck mechanical equipment, ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the vessel. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the ship's HVAC and refrigeration systems, and ensuring compliance with all relevant rules, regulations, codes, and guidelines, as well as the Company's Safety Management System (SMS). You will actively participate in meetings, training sessions, and other work‑related activities to stay updated on the latest procedures and best practices. Additionally, you will ensure that all sanitation and public health monitoring procedures are followed, and that equipment and records are properly maintained. Your role will also involve keeping accurate records of work performed in the Planned Maintenance System. Furthermore, you will be an integral part of the team during emergency procedures and drills, contributing to the preparedness and safety of the crew and passengers. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will be essential in maintaining the high standards of operation and safety that Scenic and Emerald Cruises are known for.
