Program Summary

KBR supports the operational needs of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain and several bases in Turkey. Our services ensure smooth operations allowing Air Force and government personnel to focus on their missions. We provide program management civil engineering morale welfare and recreation support among other essential services. Awarded by the Air Force Installation Contracting Center our contract spans a five-year base period with three one‑year options reflecting our commitment to excellence and operational support.

Job Summary

KBR is seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Dorm Attendant Lead to oversee the full scope of operations for two dormitory / lodging facilities supporting U.S. Air Force (USAF) personnel. This role serves as the facility manager and requires daily on‑site presence (Monday to Friday) in Buildings 114 and 119. The Lead will manage work orders, room assignments, inventory and guest accountability while ensuring compliance with U.S. Government (USG) standards and regulations. The position involves direct communication with USAF personnel and reporting to both the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and KBR Site Management.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Serve as Facility Manager for two dormitory buildings using the NEXGEN system (a U.S. government platform) to submit and track maintenance work orders.
  • Provide monthly updates on work order status to the Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
  • Develop and submit a monthly cleaning and housekeeping schedule for temporary‑use rooms subject to U.S. Government (USG) review and approval.
  • Operate in accordance with DAFMAN 34-135 (Air Force Lodging Program).
  • Monitor and manage furniture and equipment inventory, notifying COR of any items needing replacement.
  • Maintain accurate linen inventory records and report to COR and Facility Supervisor (FS).
  • Ensure unoccupied rooms are maintained in stand‑by status by overseeing Dorm Attendants in executing cleaning per Appendix D, placing linen bundles, confirming completion of work orders, emptying drawers / closets and verifying operational keyless door locks.
  • Maintain and store itemized key / key card inventory with two copies per room accessible to COR after hours.
  • Support military exercises, emergency responses and special operations as required.
  • Assign rooms based on the USG‑provided arrival roster ensuring assignments are completed 48 hours prior to guest arrival.
  • Conduct arrival briefings for incoming personnel using a USG‑provided checklist covering building layout and safety protocols.
  • Ensure rooms are inspected to meet USG standards before occupancy.
  • Maintain accountability for all furnishings and appliances.
  • Ensure functional checks on all equipment, appliances and furnishings in both buildings are performed.
  • Coordinate linen exchanges with the cleaning vendor designated by the USG.
  • Manage guest accountability using USG‑provided Excel spreadsheets; report daily to COR.
  • Report directly to KBR Site Management for operational oversight, performance updates and internal coordination.
  • Daily use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to complete reports, tasks and communicate with customers and co‑workers.
  • Physical requirements include lifting, pushing or pulling up to 15 kilos, extended sitting or standing and working in normal and adverse weather conditions.
  • Daily use of organizational and multitasking abilities with a focus on detail, accuracy and quality of work.
  • Organize time to meet deadlines.
Basic Qualifications
  • Proven ability to read, write and communicate fluently in English at C1 level (spoken and written).
  • Valid Spanish Class B driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • English Level C1 certification.
  • 3 years or more Management Experience.
