Job Description
Role Overview/Summary

We are looking for a Design Supervisor to join our team to lead the Design Team Operations. You will help support the rapid growth of the Spark and Digital Orthodontic business unit of Envista. This individual will be responsible for the day‑to‑day operations of the designers and their main performance indicators.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for 30-60 Operation’s member groups can include: Designers and support teams.
  • Responsible for 3-4 team leads to support designer inquiries.
  • Monitor employee metrics and provide proper feedback and coaching ensuring they align with customer needs, and guidelines.
  • Maintain and approve attendance for employees.
  • Prepare work and shift schedules including overtime as required.
  • Coordinate employee training as needed and maintain training records in compliance with internal /external regulations.
  • Own and execute associate development plans and complete performance reviews.
  • Provide guidance and support to solve different situations to help the design team achieve the goals (coaching, investigating, identifying solutions, and recommending action).
  • Conduct Daily or Weekly management meetings within their teams.
  • Ensure compliance with standard work in their assigned areas/process assigned.
  • Adhere to the Envista corporate model: S-QDIP – Safety, Delivery, Quality, Inventory, and Productivity and use regularly EBS tools to improve their areas.
  • Work collaboratively with other functions, including Process Eng, Software and Systems Eng, Clinical team, CSS team, Operations Quality, R&D, Manufacturing, Project Management, and Human Resources, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures fairly and consistently.
  • Be the communication bridge of our design team with any other area to ensure that their needs are met and they understand the business objectives.
  • Provide feedback to the Manager on employee’s work performance and other situations as necessary.
  • Flexible work schedule including overtime and other shift hours as required.
  • Directly supervises assigned department and provides backup to others.
  • Reports to the Design Regional Leader.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor of degree or international equivalent in Engineering, Business, or other related field equivalent experience.
  • 2 years in managing operational teams.
  • Travel – up to 10%.
  • Preferred bilingual in English and Spanish for both reading and writing. Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education – MBA is highly desirable.
  • 3 years minimum experience.
  • Basic knowledge of LEAN manufacturing concepts.
  • Complete Knowledge and practical use of Microsoft Office applications.
