We are seeking a backend specialist to own the technical foundation of our platform. You will architect scalable data structures, harden and secure core systems, and build the resilient backend engines that power our LLM agents at enterprise scale. If you're looking to move beyond simple API development and help architect the “brain” and “muscle” of a high-volume AI platform, this role is for you.

What You Can Expect (Responsibilities)

• Design and optimize PostgreSQL + pgvector data models for high-volume, low-latency operations.
• Architect secure, production-grade backend engines that integrate with LLMs and agent frameworks.
• Implement system hardening, including authentication (RBAC), encryption, and secure API patterns.
• Build scalable backend flows and APIs for cloud/serverless environments (AWS/GCP/Vercel).
• Monitor and optimize AI model performance, debugging issues in distributed systems.
• Collaborate with founders and data teams to define long-term architecture around intelligence and memory.

Requirements

• 7+ years in backend or full-stack engineering with a strong backend focus.
• 3+ years working with PostgreSQL, including performance tuning and data modeling.
• 4+ years combined expertise in TypeScript and Python for backend logic and AI/data pipelines.
• 2+ years in data-heavy or security-critical environments, with proven optimization and hardening experience.
• 3+ years deploying applications in cloud/serverless environments (AWS, GCP, Vercel, Fly.io).
• 1+ year working with LLM or agent orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen, ReAct-style agents).
• Demonstrated experience implementing Auth, RBAC, and secure API design.

Nice to Have

• Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, or Qdrant).
• Redis expertise for caching, queues, or pub-sub patterns.
• Familiarity with modern ORMs or API frameworks (Prisma, Drizzle, GraphQL, tRPC).
• Exposure to compliance frameworks such as SOC2, GDPR, or HIPAA.
