Under the direction of the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Generalist will support multiple entities across various HR functions. Responsibilities include aiding the HR team in developing and administering programs, procedures, projects, and processes throughout the organization’s divisions, spanning the entire life cycle from recruitment and onboarding to development, retention, and offboarding.

📍Location:Providencia, Guadalajara, Mexico (3 days per week in the office)

Work Schedule: Full-time, aligned with Pacific Time (PT) business hours

🗣️Language:Bilingual, English and Spanish

💼Must be legally authorized to work and currently reside in Mexico

Essential functions & responsibilities

• Support the development and administration of programs, procedures, and guidelines to align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company, improve efficiency and effectiveness.

• Administer and assist with the rollout of new initiatives and projects across the spectrum of human resources and improvement of existing ones.

• Assist in various projects, initiatives, and processes, encompassing but not limited to annual audits, new product launches, job descriptions, performance reviews, and initiatives to enhance employee engagement.

• Ensure accurate and timely execution of administrative human resources tasks, including but not limited to maintaining employee files, managing correspondence, generating documents, overseeing systems, reconciling bills, and managing invoice coding. Uphold meticulous records of employee information.

• Input new hire information into the ADP system accurately and promptly to facilitate payroll and HR functions.

• Familiarize oneself with the SEIU union contract and personnel policies and procedures.

• Manage benefits administration duties, encompassing initial enrollment, change reporting, invoice approval, and communication of benefits information to employees.

• Execute position, personal, and wage changes for employees ensuring accuracy into BambooHR and ADP systems.

• Provide guidance and assistance to employees and management on various HR-related matters, including leaves compensation, and issue resolution, under the guidance of the Human Resources Director.

• Execute and support HR processes promptly, including leave administration, EEO-1 reporting, separations, L&I/Workers compensation, and unemployment claims.

• Handle sensitive employee matters with empathy, tact, and diplomacy.

• Assist in job postings, recruitment efforts, and the hiring/onboarding process for new employees.

• Provide administrative support to the HR department as needed.

• Stay informed about current trends, best practices, regulatory updates, and emerging technologies in human resources talent management, and employment law.

• Other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's Degree related and around 5+ years of proven experience as a Human Resources Generalist
  • Understanding of relevant employment laws and regulations, including equal employment opportunity (EEO) laws, fair hiring practices, and data privacy laws.
  • Familiarity with HR policies, procedures, and best practices related to recruitment and onboarding and employee relations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must.
  • Proficiency in Adobe is a must.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively address employee concerns, resolve conflicts, and maintain positive employee relations.
  • Knowledge of employee benefits programs and leave policies. Ability to administer benefits enrollment, changes, and communicate to employees.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple job openings simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using Workday to manage employee data and generate reports.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in HR documentation, data entry, and compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Ability to remain flexible, positive, collaborative, and enthusiastic to changes, shifting priorities and new assignments.
  • Possess a professional demeanor, demonstrates initiative, and can work independently.
  • The ideal candidate should be tech-savvy and comfortable using tools such as AI, Google Translate, ChatGPT, and Copilot to enhance understanding and collaboration.
  • English Advanced

Big Plus:

• Invoicing experience.

• Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid.

• Familiarity with 80/20 PI (Performance Improvement) processes is preferred.

• Experience with California (CA) and/or Washington (WA) employment laws is a Big Plus

• Some understanding of HIPAA and the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
