To accelerate our growth across EMEA, we’re searching for an exceptional Senior Account Executive to join the team at Shopify. Your mission will be to help mid-market businesses in Spain (with revenues between €5-40M online) identify their goals and make the right choices for their success.
This team will be critical to our long-term success and will have the opportunity to shape Shopify's growth. We are in hyper-growth mode, and this is where you come in.
Key Responsibilities :
- Drive sales revenue through new client acquisition within some of EMEA’s most exciting brands.
- Actively manage the sales process, including positioning, presenting, demoing Shopify, and closing sales.
- Serve as an expert in commerce when engaging with prospects.
- Build and manage a book of business through outbound prospecting and inbound opportunities.
- Stay organized by managing an account set and keeping detailed, accurate notes of all sales-related activities.
- Identify each client’s unique needs and develop effective sales strategies.
- Work cross-functionally with other teams, particularly partnerships, and take ownership of various events.
- Achieve your sales targets and performance metrics.
Qualifications :
- Proficiency in both English and native Spanish is essential for doing business.
- Location in Madrid or Barcelona, or within 2 hours of these cities, is preferred, as Shopify participates in many customer and partner events across Spain.
- Extensive technology sales experience in a closing role within a fast-paced environment, focusing on consultative solution selling for a SaaS or eCommerce company, with a proven track record of overachievement.
- Experience managing full and complex sales cycles, preferably in a technology or software environment.
- Subject-matter expertise in commerce, understanding unique business needs, and demonstrating how merchants can grow their businesses.
- Ability to drive sales across all stakeholders, from business to IT, mid-level to senior executives, achieving success in a high-growth environment.
- Experience orchestrating internal resources to support sales initiatives and close deals.
- Deep technical product knowledge and a desire to become a Shopify product expert.
