Mission Description

We're looking for a SALES MANAGER to join our sales team in Granada, Spain. Our Technology: We're the world leader in Resilient Positioning, Navigation and Timing (R-PNT) solutions that improve the reliability, performance and safety of critical applications, and high-risk operations, even in GPS/GNSS denied environments. We provide virtually fail-safe GNSS and PNT solutions for military and commercial applications worldwide. To this end, we have developed industry-leading solutions that are built around a sound foundation of ultra-accurate synchronization (sub‑ns) and frequency distribution services. These combine to deliver a broad set of products and technical solutions based on the enhanced White Rabbit PTP synchronization technology for myriad applications, ranging from timing distribution in financial networks to robust and reliable positioning. In addition, Safran has great expertise in Time Sensitive Networking through several engagements carried out in the framework of aerospace with ESA to provide deterministic communications with zero‑packet loss. Overall, we are a highly dynamic company with a clear focus on research and innovation for providing reliable solutions that have robust, dependable, and reliable timing at their core.

What you'll be doing as an Sales Manager

You will have responsibility for the Aerospace, Defense and Government (ADG) sales activity in the assigned Spain region for the Safran Electronics & Defense products with day‑to‑day coordination with different sites and business partners. As a key member of our Sales team, you will assist in the creation and implement tactical plans to achieve and exceed assigned sales targets. You will increase market penetration by understanding the competitive market landscape, and how Safran Electronics & Defense technology can be of use. You will work with and support the distribution scheme for the territory (direct, indirect, channel, etc.), to ensure high quality customer relationships are developed and maintained.

What Success Looks Like
  • Exceed annual order plan for assigned territory
  • Execute on plans to increase orders in territory as aligned with the company strategy
  • Consistent Collaboration with Regional Director, Program Managers on Program sales
  • Utilization of partners to optimize the channel, including joint account calls and sales support
  • Understanding of technology trends, relative business impacts and opportunities
  • Comprehension of assigned market dynamics, including competitive landscape, to identify ripe target markets/applications and support creation and execution of plans to penetrate market
  • Develop and enhance customer relationships such that Safran Electronics & Defense is viewed as a partner to our customers
  • Strong Key Account management; building on existing relationships with major customers and establishing new relationships with other key customers (either directly or through team)
  • Ensure timely and accurate response to customer inquiries, leads and sales opportunities

Requirements
  • Background in a Technical education or Engineering discipline
  • 10+ years of technical sales experience with relevant electronic products, ideally in defense
  • Plus: Experience with Position, Navigation, Timing and/or Simulation products
  • Extensive experience in working with a field sales channel, both direct and reps or distributors
