A leading technology company is seeking a Senior ML Engineer / Researcher to work on OCR and metadata extraction for complex PDFs. Responsibilities include researching and fine-tuning OCR models, developing PDF conversion solutions, and collaborating with teams for integration. The ideal candidate has strong experience in Python, PyTorch, and document intelligence techniques. This role is remote from Spain, offering a Spanish employment contract.

Formación

• Experience running OSS models on vLLM to focus on document intelligence.
• Practical experience deploying LLM / VLM models.
• Ability to experiment and analyze quickly.

Responsabilidades

• Research and fine-tune open-source OCR models for complex PDFs.
• Develop PDF-to-Markdown and PDF-to-HTML conversion solutions.
• Build tools for data preprocessing and quality evaluation of OCR outputs.
• Collaborate with research and engineering teams on OCR pipelines.

Computer Vision

Solid understanding of OCR pipelines

Strong hands-on expertise with Python, PyTorch

Experience deploying LLM / VLM models

Understanding of cloud infrastructure
